The AutoCoder is an amazing tool. We just hired a new Doctor with little coding experience and this has been a huge help. With the new 99xxx codes we thought we were doing it correctly, but in many cases we were under coding and leaving money on the table. What's great about the way AutoCoder is set up is that we don't have to think if the diagnosis is a chronic unstable or chronic stable etc. AutoCoder has 1000's of diagnostic codes in the software and it tells you which category it goes into. It also helps you code the 92xxx codes. Very simple to use. Just check the bullet points and the correct code will appear or let you know if a 92xxx code is not appropriate. And the icing on the cake is that if you have a question, just e-mail Chris and he will get back to you promptly. The AutoCoder is truly an asset to my practice. AutoCoder has helped me gain confidence in my coding. It is wonderful to have a tool available that takes the guesswork out of coding. I use it regularly to double check myself. I have found it to be user friendly and dependable in its results.

This comes in so handy with the new “scoring system” for coding. When I am not confident in the level I should be billing I can plug it in to the tool and feel confident that I am doing it right. There are quite a few times that I have been surprised that I was down coding inappropriately. This is also great to have for new associates and graduates that are getting comfortable with the value they are providing to the population as a highly trained practitioner.
